We ordered it with lettuce only, but there was no lettuce on the burger and we didn’t want to wait for a server to come, get the lettuce and then bring it back, before eating…. On The Menu: American Cheeseburger with Fries (in a basket)Īs you can see, the burger and cheese were presented on the basket, not on the paper, which may sound particular (and it is) but it’s important for some customers (like us). We decided to keep it simple and test the American cheeseburger basket. The board-of-fare is All-American “stick to your ribs” Food, and it’s breakfast, lunch and dinner all day. They have a merchandise display and food products available for sale at the register too. A large WELCOME sign and statues of Black Bears greet you out front and there’s a beautiful vintage-style jukebox available in the lobby for patrons to play classic American music of their choosing. Our waitress had worked at the previous restaurant CoCo’s in the same location, which had closed long ago.Įverything was new and “fresh” with the familiar decor that is part of their brand and a constant throughout the chain. When we asked how long they had been open they told us almost three weeks. We were seated immediately by a young host/cashier and greeted promptly by our waitress (or female server if you’re particular about the job title). The counter was empty and we chose to sit at a table at the back of the main dining room where it was quiet and there wasn’t any waiter traffic. There were people at about 40% of the tables and they were mostly finishing up. It was late and after the dinner rush and not very crowded at all. We pulled right into the parking lot and started taking pictures for this Blog Post. I will definitely go back to Black Bear Diner and order other items on the menu.We were so happy to see a Black Bear Dinner in the Valley and to have an easy decision on where to eat dinner. I highly recommend Black Bear Diner and The Smoked Beef Brisket & Eggs. I would have liked honey butter for the cornbread. I would have liked to have BBQ sauce for the brisket.Ģ. I ate everything except part of the hashbrowns.ġ. I would say I got a great value for my money and I could not eat all of my meal. The eggs and hashbrowns were also cooked perfectly and were delicious. ![]() The brisket was not overly dry like some that I have had in fact I have to say the brisket literally melted in my mouth. The Brisket was also phenomenal it was cooked perfectly and had amazing flavor. I really enjoyed the sweetness that was perfect and not overly sweet. It was cooked perfectly and was not overly dry in fact it was some of the best cornbread I have eaten. The cornbread muffin was also phenomenal. The bacon and cheese further enhanced the flavor. I will start with the cheesy bacon grits and say wow they were phenomenal! The grits were cooked to perfection and had amazing flavor. The meal also came with a side of cheesy bacon grits.įor the eggs I ordered fried hard, for potatoes I selected hash browns and for bread I selected the cornbread muffin. This meal consisted of 8 oz of smoked beef brisket with 2 eggs any style, choice of strip-cut hashbrowns or country red potatoes and a home made biscuit or cornbread muffin. For my selection I ordered the Smoked Beef Brisket and Eggs. I ordered from the Breakfast for Dinner Menu. Tonight for dinner I decided to order take out from Black Bear Diner in Riverton Utah.
