I have a good relationship with my isp and feel that they would have no problem in working with me to resolve if I can provide him with some good data to identify the latency.Īny suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Maybe one of the “OOMA Super Support Guru’s” will have some suggestions. I absolutely love everything about the OOMA, but I have got to get this delay resolved before my wife puts the end to this project. I have not used PingPlotter yet, but I would be happy to post/email those results as well to anyone that feels it would help. Minimum round trip time to server: 133 msĪverage round trip time to server: 146 ms I have posted the basics from my tests here: The Telo sits outside my router (Modem>OOMA Telo>Router). ![]() And would be happy to provide any results that would be helpful in troubleshooting. I am an IT professional and have tried the suggestions that I read about in the blogs here and have some idea as to what I am looking for when it comes to most of the standard tests (, ). I would LOVE to blow them off and completely go with OOMA, however, the delay is just unacceptable. Unfortunately, if I can not get it either eliminated or reduced, I am going to have to go back to my land line. The issue I have is that there seems to be a 1-2 second delay in the conversation seems to be on both ends (although, I have not done and “real” comparison). But overall, no real complaints with sound quality. Sound is as good as my land line if not better, occasionally there is a glitch or blip in that you or the person you are talking to will hear a noise or miss a part of the conversation. I am experiencing this same issue and wondering if anyone has come up with a solid resolution. The delay is a problem and haven't been able to find any info on resolving it. In general, I very happy with the quality of the voice signal and haven't had any issues.
